How this calculator works
Equipment cost comes from the capacity band you select, uplifted for commercial-duty gear and scaled slightly by fixture count, since systems serving many fixtures need more control equipment than the band alone implies. Labour is calculated from base hours — seven for a new installation, three for a replacement — at licensed plumber rates, adjusted for access difficulty and system scope.
Electrical, pipework modification and permits are separate line items so you can see what a “pump only” quote is leaving out. The replacement comparison figure re-prices the same equipment using replacement labour, which is what makes it directly comparable.
